Hi Jacque! I wasn’t able to find an email address for you so hope this finds you. I have a podcast series called WomenTranscend which focuses on issues affecting women and girls worldwide. I loved your HuffPo article on raising your boys to resist patriarchy. I was wondering if you might consider taping a real quick 15-20 minute interview with me for my podcast. Here is a link to my podcast: https://itun.es/i67V33j #iTunes
My website is: http://www.womentranscend.com
I am a university professor and my podcast is completely self-funded. I started the podcast to begin conversations that I think we need to have. Please let me know if you would consider an interview. It would just entail jumping on Skype for 15-20 minutes to discuss your thoughts, and I will take direction from you in terms of what you want to cover.
Thanks!
Jennifer Todd
Hi Jennifer, My apologies for not responding sooner. For some reason this comment was lost in cyberspace until now! I woud be happy to tape an interview with you if you are still interested. Again, I am so sorry not to have responded sooner.
I’m glad you enjoyed my post, and thank you for reaching out to me.

I read your post with sadness. I have been there. Many mums have been there. However, I decided many years ago not to bow down to the inevitable of the boring norm. We never said out loud that Santa doesn’t exist in our house. I would fend off questions with a cheery ‘If you don’t believe you won’t receive!’ Or, ‘ The magic of Christmas is real!’ And eventually the kids stopped asking. We all know he doesn’t exist in our house, but we enjoy playing along and even now ( my kids are 30,28,25) we still have Advent, Santa still fills stockings ( my husband sets the alarm for 5 am so that he can fill them whilst they’re all tucked up in bed after a night in the pub with their friends). The carrot is still nibbled by Rudolf, Santa still takes a bite from his mince pie. The magic lives on. When we venture downstairs to the mountain of presents under the tree, my husband still shouts out with glee… ‘He’s been!’ You just have to push through those awkward years and suddenly you’ll find the magic is back and everyone is on board. If I ever suggest that Santa stops coming to our house there is outrage from the ‘ kids’ Hang on in there. Never eliminate the magic, suspend belief and it will continue! 🧚♀️🎅🏻🎄
